Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the EnsureFix platform and supplements our Terms of Service. It exists to protect our users, our platform, and the broader community.
2. Permitted Use
EnsureFix is designed for legitimate software development activities, including:
- Generating code fixes for software tickets and issues.
- Automating pull request creation and code review.
- Running security scans on your own repositories.
- Generating tests for your codebase.
- Asking questions about your own codebase.
3. Prohibited Activities
You must not use EnsureFix to:
3.1 Harmful or Malicious Code
- Generate malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious software.
- Create code designed to exploit vulnerabilities in other systems.
- Develop tools for unauthorized access to computer systems.
- Generate code that deliberately introduces security vulnerabilities.
3.2 Abuse of Service
- Exceed your plan's usage limits through automated or programmatic means.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limiting, authentication, or access controls.
- Use the Service to mine or extract AI model weights, training data, or proprietary algorithms.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without authorization.
- Create competing products using outputs or knowledge derived from the Service.
3.3 Illegal or Harmful Content
- Process repositories containing illegal content.
- Use the Service for any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Submit content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.
3.4 Security Violations
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of EnsureFix systems without authorization.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or organizations.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
- Forge headers or manipulate identifiers to disguise the origin of requests.
4. Repository Guidelines
When connecting repositories to EnsureFix:
- Only connect repositories you own or have explicit authorization to use with the Service.
- Remove or rotate secrets, API keys, and credentials before connecting repositories.
- Ensure repository contents comply with applicable open source licenses.
- Do not connect repositories containing sensitive personal data (PII) unless necessary for the fix.
5. Fair Use
- Use the Service within the limits of your subscription plan.
- Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.
- Do not use automation to submit an unreasonable volume of requests.
- Report bugs and vulnerabilities responsibly via security@ensurefix.com.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- A warning or request to cease the violating activity.
- Temporary suspension of your account.
- Permanent termination of your account.
- Reporting to law enforcement authorities where applicable.
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation and to take appropriate action at our discretion. We will attempt to notify you before taking action unless immediate action is required to protect the Service or other users.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@ensurefix.com.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
